New year’s Eve Holidays in Lapland

Begin the new year in a magical white landscape.. A small wooden chalet lost in the boreal forest, Nature activities, meals inspired by local gastronomy, everything you need for an unforgettable time, away from the commercial bustle.

Tranquility and silence

Only 4 chalets, for 8 people maximum. Nearby, forests, lakes and snow-covered vastness. Tranquility and silence are often what strike our guests first. It is rather rare to meet someone.

The stay goes on the rhythm of Nature and of the polar night. Relaxation and serenity guaranteed

Well-being and Nature

Relax on the couch, watching the fire sparkle. Have a nice sauna, alternating hot and cold times. Listen to the silence and look at the stars. Have a zen stay to start the year off right.

Holidays in harmony with the environment

Lapland Retreat strives to be as eco-friendly as possible. No running water or electricity, but cozy wood-heated chalets, daily saunas and only organic and / or homemade toiletries.

Program of your New year’s eve holidays in lapland

Day 1, 27th of december– Arrival at Luleå airport.

Your guide is waiting for you at the airport (contact us for transfer times). Once luggages have been collected, you will collect your winter equipment (overalls, boots, chapka, mittens).

Then it’s finally time for the transfer to the lodge!

A nice meal is waiting for you at the lodge. Then it is time to sleep 🙂

Day 2, 28th of december –  A stay in Lapland can not be done without a snowshoes tour! Perfect to enjoy the white landscapes and arctic silence! On the way, it is not uncommon to see roosters, hares and grouse. If luck smiles on you, maybe you will even see elk and reindeer! A hot lunch will be served in the tepee

Day 3, 29th of december – Today, we go to Jokkmokk, a small village of 2000 inhabitants and the capital same of swedish lapland.

Option: Immersion in Sami land. Anna invites you to the territory of her ancestors to tell you about her culture and her life as a reindeer herder. Lunch included. Price per person: 2000sek

Day 4, 30th of December – The day will be dedicated to a very popular activity in the north, ice-fishing. Hot beverage will be served around a fire to keep you warm will waiting for the fishes 🙂

Day 5, 31st of December –It’s New Years Eve! And to celebrate, we go teasing the arctic ski slopes! Located 30 minutes from the lodge, Kabdalis station is perfect for enjoying the scenery and the snow.

Then the party begins drinking the famous swedish glögg. Inside, a good dinner is waiting for you, in the pure swedish tradition (material and ski pass not included, to take on site)

Day 6, 1st of January– It is the departure from the lodge, but not the end of the holidays! Today you will try out, if you want, your talent for dog-sledding!

Option: Dog-sledge tour. The tour includes the introduction to dog-sledding, the material, the dog-sledge tour as driver (about 1h with two persons on the sledge, driving one after the other), a hot beverage in the tepee. Price per person: 2200sek

After the tour, the musher will drive you to your hotel, situated in the city center of Lulea. From there, you can enjoy the ice-trail. Situated on the frozen sea, this 11km long trail is a must-do !

Day 7, 2nd of January – Departure for the airport

2 possibilities:

• you can take a taxi (about 300sek)
• you can take the bus (line 4, anout 35sel)

Price per person: 15 120 sek

You would like to stay longer? No problem!

1 night additional in Lulea and a 2h snowmobile tour from 2 850 sek per person

To ensure the smooth running of the stay, we do not take children under 12 years old.

Your New year’s eve holidays in lapland includes:

• Accommodation in double occupancy (one double bed and one sofa bed in each cottage).
• The saunas from day 2 to day 5
• Full board, from breakfast day 2 to breakfast day 7 (except for lunch and dinner day 6)
• One set of sheets and two towels per person
• The toiletries at the camp (mandatory on the site because they are organic and harmless for the environment)
• Activities included in the program
• The transfers (except for the transfer to the airport day 6)
• Snowshoes, available at any time for camp residents
• The overalls with boots, hat and gloves

Not included:

• Flights
• Alcoholic drinks and sodas
• Ski material rental and the ski pass
• The options, dogsledge tour and immersion in sami land
• Individual travel insurance

Probablement un de nos plus beau voyage ! Maelle et Thierry nous ont très bien accueilli, ce sont des hôtes intéressants, gentils et heureux de partager avec nous leur quotidien. Un séjour féerique avec des activités qui leur ressemblent ! Nous n’oublierons jamais notre séjour là-bas ! Je recommande vivement !!

Notre semaine à lapland retreat en janvier 2022 restera une expérience très enrichissante. Nous étions à la fois bien occupé à découvrir la Laponie suédoise au travers des activités typiques et en faisant de supers rencontres tout en pouvant se relaxer. Un bon compromis grâce à un programme bien pensé. Et tout ça grâce à Maëlle et Thierry qui ont construit un havre de paix dans lequel la nature est réellement respectée. Les lodges sont très confortables et nous nous sommes régalés. Bref, on a envie de revenir. Merci encore à vous deux, vous êtes formidables !

Super séjour en écolodge! Magnifique expérience! et très belle destination très atypique. Maelle et Thierry sont très accueillants et ont été aux petits soins durant tout le séjour. Je recommande vivement "Lapland retreat" nous avons fait de belles rencontres!

Un merveilleux séjour pour la nouvelle année avec de belles rencontres. Tout était génial aussi bien la localisation, que le logements et les activités. Un très bel accueil par les propriétaires de ce paradis. Une expérience unique loin du tourisme de masse.

Un pur enchantement... Maelle et Thierry font tout pour que les séjours à Lapland Retreat soient inoubliables. Tout est parfait... L'accueil chaleureux de nos hôtes, l'implantation des chalets au milieu des sapins enneigés, Le retour à une vie authentique, au rythme de la nature, sans eau courante ni électricité (ce qui ne nuit aucunement au confort, tout est prévu, et les chalets sont de véritables cocons qu'il est bien difficile de quitter en fin de séjour)... les activités toutes pleines de charme et d'authenticité, notamment la visite chez Anna éleveuse de rennes et Picachou son renne favori.. Le cérémonial du sauna chaque fin d'après midi et le retour au chalet simplement enveloppé de sa serviette, les yeux perdus dans le ciel pour guetter les aurores, (elles nous ont jouer des tours, et ont refusé de se colorer... tant pis, on s'est contenté des aurores boreales blanches et du ciel étoilé comme on ne le voit jamais chez nous)... la qualité des repas avec des ingredients mystères qu'il faut deviner, car Maelle utilise toutes les ressources de la nature pour "pimenter" sa cuisine... je ne dévoilerai pas les spécialités... sans parler du petit déjeuner... comme dit ma fille "on est content de se lever à l'idée du petit déjeuner qui nous attend... La liste est longue... On n'a qu'un regret c'est de partir, mais on se dit qu'on reviendra...

Une parenthèse enchantée à s'accorder au moins une fois dans sa vie. Tout y est parfait, déjà nos hôtes Maëlle et Thierry, ainsi qu'Honorine qui était là pour aider. Ensuite les chalets qui sont une petite bulle de confort. L'absence d'électricité et les toilettes sèches ne sont pas du tout un problème bien au contraire cela rajoute au charme et à l'expérience. Foncez les yeux fermés vous ne serez pas déçu.

Séjour incroyable, totalement dépaysant ! Mélange parfaitement dosé de cocooning et de retour à la "vie sauvage", les paysages, les balades, les chalets, la nourriture, tout est fait pour que l'expérience soit inoubliable, grâce à Maelle et Thierry qui sont des hôtes parfaits !

Expérience fabuleuse, un séjour vraiment hors du temps et des moments inoubliables ! Une semaine en famille qui marquera nos mémoires : paysages féeriques, accueil on ne peut plus chaleureux, chalet confortable, savoureuse cuisine et activités très diverses mais toutes aussi passionnantes (que je ne dévoilerai pas pour vous laisser la joie de les découvrir 😉
